Mrs. Barbara Goodwin

Mrs. Goodwin is the retired Executive Director of the Fresno County Council of Governments.  She served in that capacity for 14 years, and for a total of 35 years with Fresno COG.  Her involvement in regional transportation issues is extensive and wide-ranging, including both the passage and the renewal of the Measure C transportation ½-cent sales tax, participation on the San Joaquin Valley Regional Policy Council, appointment by Governor Schwarzenegger to the Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley, and advocacy for the Central Valley at the federal and state level through the “One Voice” lobbying efforts.

Mrs. Goodwin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/Public Relations and is a Cum Laude Graduate of California State University, Fresno.  She remains committed to her community through service as an appointed representative of the City of Fresno on the FMFCD Board, and represents FMFCD on the San Joaquin River Conservancy Board. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County from 2009 through 2012.
