Mr. James E. "Buzz" Burleson, Jr.
Mr. Burleson is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer with a BS degree from the University of Houston and a MBA from Fresno State including international studies at the University of EFCE Paris, France. Mr. Burleson retired from ATT in 2010 after serving in a number of positions over his 33 year career, including 10+ years as the General Manager in central California. Mr. Burleson is an active member of both the Fresno regional Water and Clean Energy Clusters. He currently serves in the capacity of advisor and/or director on several non-profit boards, including previous service from 2006-2008 as Chairman for the Economic Development Corporation serving Fresno County.
Mr. Burleson is actively exploring new water technology to provide future water solutions for California farmers and recently served 18 months on the Kings River Advisory Sub-Committee to update the Kings Basin Integrated Regional Water Management Plan for 2013 and beyond. Mr. Burleson currently serves on the Board of Directors of both the Upper Kings Basin Integrated Water Management Authority (IRWMA) and the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA). In addition, Mr. Burleson is the owner of BNB Farms in east Texas where he currently farms pine trees with a unique Silvopasturing technique that allows livestock and trees to co-exist in harmony.
