Ms. Busani was born in Los Angeles, CA, and relocated to Fresno in 2006. She is an Associate Attorney at ERISA Law Center, a local law firm representing plaintiffs in ERISA and bad faith claims arising from the denial or termination of benefits under their employer-sponsored plans. Ms. Busani obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations in 2005 from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She obtained her law degree from San Joaquin College of Law in 2018, graduating second in her class with distinction and receiving various other awards and recognitions during her law school career.

A daughter of immigrants, Ms. Busani was the first in her family to attend college and is a firm believer in the importance of civic engagement and community representation. As a law student Ms. Busani co-founded Law Students for Community Advancement, a student group focused on community engagement. Ms. Busani also serves on the board for the Fresno Reel Pride LGBTQ+ Film Festival.
