NGSS for 7th & 8th grade: MS-ESS3-1, MS-ESS3-4

The southern San Joaquin Valley is classified as a semi‑arid desert; it only receives an average of 11.5 inches of rainfall each year. The primary source of water for the Valley is groundwater! When rains come the stormwater runoff is captured in basins where it recharges (helps replace) the groundwater.

This infographic is designed for 7th to 8th grade students. It discusses how to conserve our water supply, groundwater and water recharge. It’s printed on 8 1/2″ x 14″ paper in color and double sided.
