The District has been awarded a Flood Emergency Response Grant by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR)! The $287,500 grant will cover a range of FEMA-approved emergency preparedness training for staff and managers, and cover the creation of a first-ever comprehensive flood emergency response plan for the District.  Training will happen in phases starting early next year.

The District is one of 25 public agencies who received an award as part of the total $10.1 million statewide.  Check out the full list of funded projects, which became official on June 29.  Here is DWR’s grant info page.
